Early web games relied on plugins and simple graphics. Over time, new browser technology made smoother graphics and new ways to load game assets possible; actual speed still depends on the game and connection.

What changed

  • Better browsers
  • Faster hardware and connections
  • 3D rendering in the browser
  • Easy sharing through links

Where we are now

Modern browser racers can deliver proper tracks, multiple modes and multiplayer rooms without a separate installation. Game assets still download through the browser. HyperLeaque is part of that new wave.
