Lap Race Tips: How to Set Your Best Lap Time
Shave seconds off your lap time with these practical tips on racing lines, braking and consistency.

In Lap Race the only opponent is the clock. These habits help most.
1. Learn the track first
Do a few slow laps. Notice where the road tightens and where it opens up.
2. Brake before the corner, not in it
Slow down in a straight line, then turn. Braking while steering is the fastest way to lose control.
3. Hit the apex
Aim for the inside edge of the corner at its midpoint, then let the car drift wide on exit. This keeps your line short and your speed high.
4. Be smooth
Small, steady steering inputs are faster than sharp ones.
5. Consistency beats one lucky lap
Aim for several clean laps in a row. Your best time usually follows.
6. Review and repeat
Note your lap times and the corners where you crashed. Repeat the same track to see which approach gives you a cleaner run.
Your next race is waiting.
